FSM calls for "Molybdenum Disulphide" lithium base grease inside the knuckles.  Marine will work as well.  Just never mix greases with different bases and you should be good.

I would also recommend making sure your knuckle is centered on the housing, to prevent it from possibly leaking again. Not saying that is why it is now, but while it's apart it is good to check.

.040 shims on the bottom to get the axle shaft centered, then adj the top shim pac as nesc. to get the right preload on the knuckles.  more preload than stock is better for taller tires and will cut down death wobble, measure the preload with the wiper seals out. marine grease for sure.

I tapped the feeler hole on the knuckles and put grease fitting,  I pumped 1.5 tubes of grease in each side probly can take more.

they had oil originally at rebuild.  Drained through a stud and pumped full of grease.

seriously toynoter. When i first started playing with toyotas i relied on the information from this website to learn what i was doing. No body fed me a line of bs so why dont you leave that crap for your bacon thread and let the new guys learn from people who actually know what they are talking about. Sorry if this is thread jacking but this guy is rediculous.

x2 on the marine grease, i do alot of river crossings so i just put it in everything that has a zert fitting or needs grease. been running it 3 years no problems.

i think threads on what type of grease to run should be banned just so this guy has nothing to talk about or try to sell
