22r wont run right...

parked my 83 about 2 months ago running fine.. spent the last two days trying to get her to run right.. will start an idle for about 15 seconds then quits.. or will fire on what seems to only be a couple cylinders if i keep pumping the gas.. before i parked it i replaced plugs wires cap rotor and fuel filter.. seems to be getting air gas and spark ... whats wrong, any suggestions would be greatly appreciated

perhaps you got the plug wires on wrong,

Sounds like carb to me.  Check the float level and maybe spray some chemtool to try and clean out the crud.  If that doesnt do it make sure the choke is working correctly. There is a lot of steps to figure it out but this is what I would do first since it was fine before it sat.

Got the same problem cleaned carb and its still the same

Verify fuel pressure first. Check bowl make sure you are gettin fuel. Ethanol in gas is know to gum up carburators and injectors. If they sit for prolonged perids of time.

Verify timing put a timing light on it while you are cranking it over just rule one more thing out

Timeing is correct, fuel pressure is @ 3.5 pounds, float isnt stuck.. What gets me is when we hooked a guage off the mechanical fuel pump to check it, she ran great off of the fuel in the float.

my 86r did that too me once turns out it was vapor lock sounds stupid but talk off the fuel cap and see if that fixes it
