Hi all, I thought you might like to take a look at some of the 4x4's in our stable. The two Burgundy trucks are made by a company called Unipower. One of them is called the Unipower Forester and the other one is called the Unipower Hannibal. The Forester has the 4LW Gardner diesel engine and the Hannibal has the 5LW Gardner engine, both trucks have a winch in the chassis rails which most of you would die for  :gap: each winch has a dead pull rating of 28 Tons and thats without snatch blocks. They were used for winching trees out of the woods and rolling them up skids onto pole trailers and then hauled to the mill

The other pic is my 1943 Canadian Chevrolet who served her part in WWII, after the war she was converted over to civilian use as a crane and spent most of her working years erecting farm buildings up and down the length of the UK. The pic you see of her in the field is exactly as we found her ! and after many many hours of blood sweat and grief she stands before you proudly.  The Stars and Stripes are proudly worn, I put them on  the weekend after September 11th  :usa:   it's not how many times we get knocked down...it's how many times we get back up !

My brother Jason is standing in front of the Hannibal on the left and my Dad is standing in front of the Forester on the right, just a mo and I will dig out a pic of me

I live in the South East corner of the UK (The Garden of England) in a small town called Tunbridge Wells :gap:

And on a side note each one of them is running on 20" rims  bling bling of the day huh    All three trucks are running on 12.00 x 20 tyres....sorry tires

Here are just a few pics of me and a pic of my old Chevy when she was at work in the old days. The crane mast itself is 21 feet long and the fly jib is another 10 feet long. The pivot point for the crane is around 8 feet off the ground. She weighs in around 5 tons, has four wheel drive and two wheel drive high and low range and is running a Perkins P6 Diesel

I like the chevy a lot!  I also like the green one in the background in the second pic, kinda looks like a very old unimog maybe, but almost like an......ug, can't think of the name off hand.  And is that a vauxhall (sp) in the background of the last pic, the gold car?

The green truck in the background is an early Thames trader tipper truck and the Gold car in the pic is the Renault Clio Sport

:smack:  all I really know about european cars is what I've seen on rally racing or top gear I think.  I like the body styles better on a lot of your cars though, a bit baudier than ours.

Actually I will!  I mean, it looks like a nissan frontier, maybe an sc model, but I'm not sure what they're called over there, or even if they have another makes name on it.

Those are Chevies?

The weirdest Chevy I ever saw was a Corvair or an old school 50's fire truck.
2007 Satin white pearl STi- mostly stock
2006 WRX TR 320whp 343wtq, taken in a road rage wreck
1998 4runner, needs to become wheeler status

Yes the green and cream truck is 100% Chevy

They have an engine tone all their own and the way the engine surges when under load is great  :gap: This old lady is from the days of non turbo and ...............ya get there when ya get there.        Having the engine partly back in the cab does make for some hot journeys to shows but with sliding doors its a blast  :driving: Remember she weighs 5 tons and the braking system is vacuum of hydraulics, drums all round....DO NOT GET IN ITS WAY.... its a freight train when she gets going and stopping is an adventure :yikes:

Well, you may not get the cool names, but atleast you get the tdi!  Our selection of diesels in small vehicles is super slim, and I've been wanting to buy a japanese half cut early 90s toyota with a 1kzte, or preferably a 1kz with a manual pump.
