so im getting ready to get the crossover steering conversion for my 85 toyota. and it says i need 3-4 inches of lift to fit it. ive already got a lift on it but im not sure how much. so im wondering if instead of getting new springs, i can just get 2.5 inch shackles longer shocks and the spring hanger perch.. if anybody has any ideas they would be greatly appreciated. happy rockcrawling!

if you think your truck is already lifted a bit its probly fine the way it is. i would get the steering and install it. Then check to see if it hits your oil pan at all. If it does then you know you need shackles. my 84 pickup had wagoneer springs in the front that sat completely flat, plus i had lifted shackles and i had plenty of clearance for my steering

does anybody know any links some instructions or tips of any kind?? can it be done in a day or so?

i dont know any links, just do a search on the forum and see what you can find. It can deffinately be done in a day. the most time consuming part will be mounting the IFS box. you have to drill holes and weld in the frame braces.
