Carb issues
« on: Jun 22, 2009, 12:29:15 PM »
Im having a lot of issues with the carb on my 84
Decided to try and do doughnuts with a friend who has a K5 blazer (wouldn't reccomend it) And of course as I was nearing the end of my doughnut run my truck shut off and would start but not stay on. Since then my carb and everything around it seems to be falling apart.
Is it worth it to put a bunch of money into fixing the carb or is a better idea to convert it to fuel injection?
If so how much does that usually cost?

If it ran fine before the doughnuts I would try to trouble shoot the problem. Try replacing the fuel filter and check your float bowl. After a roll over I had a similar problem and It was the float being stuck.
