LCE Head Gasket Kits
« on: Jun 11, 2008, 11:38:56 AM »
Anyone have any experience with the LC Engineering head gasket kits?

http://www.toyotacatalog.net/M1WebGear/ProductDetails.aspx?PartUniqueID=7F86F068-25F8-4189-B64D-48CA658F49D3

I know the OEM Toyota head gasket is probably the best, but this kit has all the other gaskets I need. Does Toyota make a similar kit?

Also, how much are people paying for head work? At the least I need to get the seats, guides, and seals redone.

Josh,   go down to Bunns Engine (down near your Dad's) they sell Rock gaskets, (what i run) and they do the best head/engine machining around,  tell them Glen sent you.

Thanks guys for confirming that the LCE head gasket is a FelPro. I was afraid it was.

I'm going to give the local dealership a call and see if they still honor the TTORA discount that they said they'd give.  :crossed: that they can get the kit.

Thanks for the Bunn's recommendation, but I can't get there during their business hours. I'll find a good shop up here in Little Rock that's good with Toyota engines, and pester them.

Any idea where I can get a Rock gasket online?

That block is temping, but that'll open up a whole other can of worms. My lower end is still good. I just want my compression back.  :rivers: :wall:

Found the Rock website: rockprod.com. Looks like FGS9002 is the engine gasket kit for a 20R. HGS902 is the head gasket kit.

well,  heres the good part,  you would use  YOUR bottom end,  in fact everything from your motor except the block and the pistons/rings  which is what you need to replace to fix your compression

:deal:  my brain is yours to pick,  youve helped me so much, its the least i can do
