IFS Steering box, What year?????

I have an 85 runner and am looking for an ifs steering box at different salvage yards. My question is what years of truck can i rob one out of??? Can I use one out of a Tacoma or does it have to be older like an 86-88??? Any help greatly appreciated.

not sure if a taco one will work, but i know that the 86-89 runners will work or the 86-88 trucks

I think the ones after 92 have a longer shaft.  (ha ha you said shaft :yesnod: ) But any IFS box from 86 to non-tacoma will work just fine.

Not trying to jack this post, but I thought my question has a similar subject.
Does the length of the stock column work fine with the IFS box?

There is alot of adjustment. 6" maybe. so no problems at all. :thumbs:
