Hello there.

Either I am going to chuck up some cash so I can stay smog legal, or if I don't find one by June, I am going to fabricate my own kit using a Eaton M90 blower. I have plenty of Supercharging experience building 3 SC 4A-GZE engines with over sized blowers, so building my own kit from junk yard parts will be a snap, but....

The reason I want to go with the TRD kit is because it mounts on the intake side and the pulley is up and above practically a dead zone where I cant mount anything else due to the power steering and the cold side water inlet port.

I have plans on running two other compressors on my exhaust side: a massive twin-v york air compressor for my on board air and a stock 3RZ A/C compressor so I can have some nice A/C going on..

But with the two compressors on the exhaust side, its really leaving me with no room for a custom M90 setup, so if I go with the M90, then I think I will have to sacrifice the A/C, which for the added power I could really care less about creature comforts, but if I can find a TRD blower that mounts on the other side of the engine then I can have my cake and eat it too.

I've already designed my own M90 SC setup on paper that will keep my air flow meter in its stock location (well, modified for me) and I've designed it so every two years I can eaisly yank it out and needing to replace only ONE intake pipe to get the truck smoged again. So this would be "ok" but I can't build my setup over on the intake side like the TRD is, so obviously that is the ideal route I want to take.

Thanks
Please let me know if you know of any TRD Superchargers, Im not to concerned about the condition and age/mileage as long as its useable or rebuildable. If you have a friend who works at a dealer ship, give him a call for me if you would and ask if they have had any returns, like some used 2.7 SC kits laying around..

Specifically this is for a 1995-1997 T100 3RZ-FE 2.7l 4cyl Engine. I only plan on runing 4-5 psi.

I've seen the kit on LC's webpage, but I just cant cough up $3000 when I could build my own for under $500.
Also I've been told that the TRD 2.7 Kit has been discontinued, so that is why I am looking for any used units.

Ive been watching Ebay now for over a month and I havn't had any luck there.

Throw me a bone here!!

BigMike-

I'm actually snowed in today (In New Mexico, can you believe it?) but when I get back to work I'll see what we have.  I seem to remember an open box blower in the back room...

We got more snow in the last 48 hours than we've had in a single storm in YEARS.  All of the ski areas around here have had a great winter, and extended the season 2-3 weeks before this recent storm.   Needless to say, hopefully I'll be snowboarding this weekend!  (unless I'm "sick" on Friday...  :eyebrow: )

Mike, I don't have a supercharger for you're 2.7, but If you've been searching for a new one, you've probably found out that TRD discontinued them.  The reason, I'm told for disontinuing them is that they were causing the head bolts to come loose.  I have a feeling that if you used some ARP head studs this would not be an issue.

Hey why don't you go with a centrifugal super charger like a Paxton, you could add an intercooler and keep that pesky pinging away. Also it don't take up as much room.

I just bought a Novi 1000 on ebay.
