I done got er runnin again!
What a pain.  So far I got ta timin right on and the #4 intake valve thinks its a diesel.  I only had it runnin for bout 5 min but I gave it a bunch eral quick throttle snaps and couldn't get it to make any chain noise... :crossed: :crossed:

I never did get my replacement tensioner which is why this all took so long.  The original kit was from 22re.com and he swore he would send me another.  Then after it didn't come for two weeks I called again and he said he ordered it to be shipped but it looked like it never went out, so he would ship me another.  Well, come about a week ago that one still hadn't got here either so I said screw it and bought another kit off ebay.

On a happier note, the seller on ebay, CNSAutoParts, that I have been getting some parts from lately has been fantastic.  Good prices, fast shipping, always get the right thing.

I did notice one thing different between the two tensioners.  The first on slipped right into the oil port with no resistance.  This new one was a MUCH tighter fit...almost a light press fit.  Seems that this newer one is sealing much better against the block.  I think that first one was just machined to the wrong size for that oil hole or something... :dunno:

Tuesday or Wed I am gonna give the valves another adjustment and see if I can't take her for a spin.

I was more peeved that 22re.com was such a pain about getting me a replacement and then told me that it wasn't the tensioner cause it was a factory replacement part and they never have problems with them...steaming pile of BS!

This one of ebay seems better.  Wish it was warmer here so I could werk on the truck today, but the high is only 28 and it is gonna snow again soon.
