Hello mudthumper401,
Happy to hear your Toyota 4WD has round headlights

I haven't done this myself but I've spoke to those who have and I know there are a few less obvious things to consider.
Toyota had a different assembly lines for P/S and non-P/S trucks, and as a result the box pedestal bolt patterns at the frame are different. Fortunately, the 4-bolt bolt pattern at boxes themselves are the same, so a P/S box (what you need) can attach to a non-P/S pedestal (what you have). So you only need to find a good P/S box. (Side note: non-P/S pedestals have forward and rearward limit stops for the pitman arm whereas P/S pedestals do not.)
Next, there are two different pumps. One type has the high pressure line exiting the side of the pump pointing directly at the fender, and the other type has the high pressure line existing the rear of pump pointing towards the firewall. The side-exit pump is much better as it uses ball bearings, the rear-exit pump uses bushings that wear out all the time. The rear-exit pump is nice however if you want to do something similar to what Marlin did and mount an upright York A/C compressor along side the P/S pump for use as On Board Air as there is more room to position the compressor without the high pressure line of the side-exit type pump getting in your way.
Lastly, the P/S reservoir for a 1st gen mounts to the inner fender wall along the vertical section of wall -- vertical section between the top of the wheelwell and the hood line -- and these brackets are becoming very hard to find. It is incorrect but is becoming more common to use a 2nd gen (1984-1989) P/S reservoir and reservoir mount, which mounts along the radius of the wheelwell itself, in a hokey position such that you can drill four holes into the inner fender wall where ever it seems to fit best in order to mount the reservoir.
What parts do you have so far? How much research have you done for this? Always cool to see people upgrading their 1st gen Hilux so keep it up and keep your truck alive and happy!
