I dont know what you tried to do up there Glen but they dint even have the 4Runner on there all they had on model were cars

from what it looks like  about $200 for gaskets and bearings,  did you get a rundown of all the cylinders  compression??

My truck does not smoke at all...I think that a valve job on #4 would do the trick....I will check the pricing for this whenever I talk to the mech...and if its not a big diff to rebuilt the whole thing I might just have it rebuilt anyways Ill keep you guys updated :thumbs: Mike thanks for all your info :beerchug:

yea there should be a big difference,  not only parts but LABOR  :thumbdown:

125,000 ?  unless you had bad oil pressure i wouldnt bother taking the pan off

power wise,  all the little things add up,  many compliment each other, like a cam and larger valves, and a bored throttlebody,  since you gotta pull the head or heads might as well ad a mild cam,

Yeah thats what I was thinking getting a mild cam oversized valves and porting and polishing my heads...how many monies would P&P add?

P&P is usually charged by the hour,  but you could probably figure $100/ head EASY

Well if I would get that done I would get it done in my fathers friend shop in Mex...so that hourly figure you typed in drops to about....uhm...half atleast
