Could I run this even if I only got a single t-case?  I plan on getting duals, but I would like to get a better cross member now!

Due to lack of drivetrain lift option, I went ahead and bought directly from bud.  He answered the single-case question.  Put 3/8" thick spacing with washers between the frame mount & crossmember, and between the tcase mount and crossmember.  So the whole crossmember is spaced 3/8" downward.  This makes the low-profile tcase drain plug barely clear the crossmember.

Do you think if i e-mailed BUDBUILT, I could get a crossmember for my truck? I am the holder of the MC01 #001 Case, which is like twice the size of the new adapters

When do you think they are going to have these available for the 80 Toys? I am patiently awaiting one so I can finish my Toy.

Affirmative. However it may be used with a Rotated Marlin Crawler dual case adapter if you use just the front t/case mount. This way you can have the strength and full skid protection of this crossmember and still have your front drive line up out of the rocks via the rotated adapter.

It is not down? The Armor page is working fine, but the old crossmember information has been removed to make way for this new information, which should go up on the Armor page on Monday. As you can see in my opening post here, the price and an ordering link is available above

It mounts to your frame using the stock Toyota crossmember mounting location. Because the BudLite crossmember is only 3/4" thick, it gains nearly 2.5" more ground clearance than your stock Toyota crossmember with much greater strength, full dual case protection, and ability to run two t/case mounts to help prolong your engine mounts and better carry the weight of your drivetrain.

Here is an example picture of a BudBuilt crossmember:

I believe these options will be available once all styles (1st gen and V6 applications) are finished, however you would need to as CruzrDave for more accurate information regarding this.

Regards,
BigMike

Hey big Mike
i couldn't help but notice the two shackles on the front of the truck.  are they different on each side or am i just seeing things?  didn't mean to change the subject, sorry.  i just got my mco7 today, and next pay period, i'll be ordering up the crossmember.  looks awsome.

Nope, you are correct, the drivers side has a stock shackle. This is not our picture, it is from Budbuilt's website.

Not to mention the different leaf springs
I think that the 2 leaf springs on the drivers side have a lot better flex then the 7-8 leaf springs on the passenger side.
Maybe there is more to offset the additional weight of the battery and starter on that side.  :gap:

Nice Crossmember as always from Bud

And that is just the old style, which is much heavier and has worse ground clearance :_order:
