So for a rear locker, I would be better off with say a detroit (NOT truetrac) over an aussie? Im just trying to figure out what the best locker for the rear of my DD would be, and i dont want to do a selectable.

Detroit rear and Aussie front.  This is what I run and I recommend it.  The Detroit won't break and the Aussie stays locked when needed but locks and unlocks with less bias than a EZ or LockRight.  The lunchbox locker have a reputation for wearing out so it seems that they are not the ultimate choice in the rear, but it would work well I'm sure.

From what I've read, Aussie locker is the way to go over any other lunchbox lockers... If you're not sold on that point, check out the following thread where the owner of Aussie explains what he did to the basic lunchbox design to make it more reliable, smoother, et cetera.

When it breaks, call for warranty.  They'll tell you, to your disappointment.

Lock rite doesn't metiond anything on their site about the tire size limit or even about a warrenty of any kind.
Might be worth a phone call.

I don't know specifically about the LockRight, but my Detroit and Truetrac both were limited to 33 inch tires if my memory serves me.  It was in the paperwork that came with the parts.

If it's for the rear, go with the Detroit. I have one in my (formerly)DD, once you learn the road manners, and how to drive with it, you'll forget it's even there, except for two times. One, when it occasionally unloads, and two, when you need traction.

No regrets.
