22r Timing Chain Kits
« on: May 04, 2006, 08:05:57 PM »
I have 2 timing chain kits from when i was having difficulties with a repair to a 22r.  Both kits have been installed but never run or even had the engine cranked over.  I would go into the details but nobody probably cares and just wants the kits so here's the details:

Early Model Kit:
One kit from http://www.engnbldr.com for the early models up through 1984 22r's.  It comes with the chain, tensoner, both sprockets, all gaskets and seals, and the plastic guides.  This kit sells for $60 plus shipping.  The driver's side guide was apparently switched with the used one but the wear from the old chain isnt even enough to catch a fingernail sliding across it.  The other guide is BRAND NEW.  Id like to get $40 shipped via USPS Priority Mail for this kit.

Late Model Kit:
This kit was purchased from the local Checker Auto Parts in hopes that the shorter chain would work and aloow me to get the motor running.  It fits from 1985 on up to 1993/94ish for both the 22r and 22re.  This kit comes with brand new guides, chain, and sprockets.  No gaskets or seals.  I'm lookgin for $30 shipped for this one via USPS Priority Mail.

Thanks for looking!

~Eric

Creepy things that go BUMP in the night.  These are a bargain and can save  you tons of money changing the timing chain out yourself!

the seals can be ordered individually, however it might cost more to buy the pseals then a whole new kit

I found the timing cover gasket and oil pump sets on partsAmerica.com for about $10 each.  Seeing this I am dropping my price to $20 shipped on the late model kit.

I am looking for an '84 Pickup rear slider window latch or a transmission shift boot in trade for one of these kits as well.

Early model kit available but the late model kit has been sold.  Open to reasonable offers and still looking for an 84 rear sliding window latch that I would trade for.

Thanks!
