Not looking for an explanation so I can understand it, just ask why every one likes it.  The reasons will be as different as the people doing it.  Mostly curiosity. :)

i dont know if i like wheelin or the buildup more.  metal fab is my #1 passion, but don't get me wrong i love wheelin.  if i didn't wheel i wouldn't like metal fab so much, because in my case they go hand in hand.  i dunno there's just something about crawling over rocks that gets me going.  not many people can say they get an adrenaline rush driving +-5mph

It's....
-getting away from it all...
-Exploring the "wild unknown"
-testing my limits
-sitting around a camp fire with friends and family knockin back a cold one.
-watching people who don't understand scratch and shake their heads
-going places the "car campers" cant get to
-teaching my kids how to enjoy and protect the forest, and how to survive in the rough.
-seeing the dew on the leaves on a cold morning
-knowing that a poorly placed curb won't keep me from getting where I want to be
-1000 other reasons that just can't be explained with words.

What's up with my last reply?  It's gone!  Oh, well, I was being sarcastic anyway!  But here lately I've been wanting to go for drives out in the woods, but The only drives I;ve been doing is back and forth to work, and many trips to Portland to take my dad to his chemo and radiation treatments.  Which really sucks cause I have to drive the Wilson River HWY and pass Brown's camp, Keening Crk, and all those wooded trails!  And he's in no shape to go in the hills for a drive!  It really sucks!   :-\\    I just want to get my truck dirty!

I agree with everyone else.  I love workin on my truck as much, but i love being out in the woods.  getting away from everything and everyone and just exploring.  trying new things too, for me being fairly new to wheeling and driving in general.  i never had anyone else around who was really into wheelin, so when i first started taking my truck out i was skeptical of what it could do, but now i dont worry about that i just go out and have fun and go for as much as i can find.

Dude, ditch the *ich and find one that LIKES to wheel. you'll both be a lot happier. (your truck and you)

going wheeling just to "get away" will not work forever, one day you'll have kids and she will not tell ya go wheeling. then you'll be alll pissed off and that just no way to live. dump it and find one that knows the man is  :king:  and her place is at your feet serving you.
A good day working, that's just sick :reg:
