This morning our main water line broke from the street to the house.  We finally fixed it, but man was it a mess.  I noticed the ground was more wet than yesterday, and I didn't water the grass for the water to drip from the hose bib.  So I dug a bit by hand, and as I dug deeper, the more moist the mud got, until I finally hit water.  The pipe was busted.  So I dug up the front of the house about 3 feet deep to finally get to the pipe.  After digging it up, I went and bought all the stuff needed to replace the bad piping.  New hose bib, pipe, main shut off valve, and the little nick nacks that all add up so fast.  After a trip to Lowe's and some good funds, I came back and repaired the mess.  Of course there was some nice language, some I think I even made up in between.  Then checked for leaks.  No leaks, which is great, then recovered the nightmare I had unveiled.   :boozer:
