I would have been happy to just carry on as it was and pretend it didn't need refurbishing. I'm not the motivated one, I don't even care to move furniture around. If it were up to me nothing would ever change unless it absolutely had to.  (like the sink faucet)
But it will look great WHEN it's done!

Marks getting ready to spray the goop (it's an industry term) to do the knock finish.   :willynilly:

Well Mark got the goop on yesterdday and got the walls knocked down last night. It really looks good! REALLY REALLY good!
He still has to knockdown the ceiling. I told he he should just get on the scaffold and I'll roll him around.

I can not WAIT to see it painted. Next weekend should do it.

I'll get some good pics tonight.
Mark had bought a new hopper sprayer thing so the texture was a lot more of what he was wanting. A nice heavy texture.
The fine texture is great in the bedrooms but this will be a good contrast.

Mark got all the texture coating on and knocked down or sanded. What an ordeal! :tantrum:  Holy canolli!!  :flamer:

But we are now ready for the painting! I've got to get all the dust vacuumed up    and then it's Marks turn.

ANd THEN we'll be ready to start putting the floor down  :hyper:  and start moving back into the living/dining room! I CAN"T WAIT! :hyper:

I've got some pics I'll post later.

OK heres some pics of the living room:

while Mark was still getting the drywall work done

With the knockdown finish

Git'n'r dun

the after affects

Time for a well deserved shower

Guess the shower did him a world of good cause he became.... a maniac.. MANIAC.. ON THE FLOOR...

He's figuring on having the floor laid by the weekend and having them come in to do the carpet. And we can start moving furniture back in by Sun.

OK I came home to this..

the view from my kitchen

Mark had to scootch the floor forward a bit.. at least he could..

Putting the front edge on..

WE'RE MOVING BACK IN!

Our first dinner on the new floor...

Mark doesn't like the way the floor is still making creeky noises so he's sealing the front hall to glue it to the floor.

And now the picture you have been really been waiting for... my finger... this is after a night and day of being bandaged.
Its not still bleeding but it looks like it, even live.

:ack:

WARNING...GROSS PICTURE ALERT!
