get a taco, cut the IFS off, put dual cases, lockers and your good

Why on earth would you start with a Taco???????????  I'd always recommend starting with something that provides good bang for the buck.  In addition, you need to determine what it is that you TRULY want to accomplish ultimately, what type of terrain you'll be operating in the majority of the time, what your budget is, and what you can do vs. paing someone else to do.  I've had ALOT of rigs over the years and have an appreciating for early Yotas, "some" Jeeps, etc., but can truly tell you that no matter what I start with on projects now, chances are almost everything will get upgraded anyway, so starting with a complete donor vehicle doesn't really make any sense in my world.  .02
