if you think your truck is already lifted a bit its probly fine the way it is. i would get the steering and install it. Then check to see if it hits your oil pan at all. If it does then you know you need shackles. my 84 pickup had wagoneer springs in the front that sat completely flat, plus i had lifted shackles and i had plenty of clearance for my steering
