Sounds like you have a issue with the coil and ignitor.  Maybe the wire between the dist and coil.  Just cause you got power to the coil/ignitor, doesn't mean they are working.  Find somebody that has a working coil and ignitor and try those.  Check to see what the resistance is in the wiring. 

When I bought my truck it wouldn't start, but would try.  Come to find out there was a bad wire that ran over the exhaust manifold that had fried the wires.  I didn't know about this until I checked for resistance in the wire harness.  I followed the holy bible (FSM)  :yupyup:  On what each and every wire should be getting for resistance and ohms.  Without that, I would have had to buy a harness.
