this is what the entire living room and kitchen looked like after the tiles came up.. no wonder it was uneven.. and to make matters worse there is more mortar under the backerboard??? they told me there was real hardwood down before so these DO IT YOURSELFERS put mud backerboard more mud... oh yea did i mention they left all the staples from the wood for me to pull after the backerboard came up!!!
i almost went bonkers.. took me 5 days to do this crap..
