I have the 76c toyota thermostat along with the same radiator. Working on a 87 xtracab frame off project to commemorate my gpa! you'd probably get a kick out of it. I haven't had a chance to run anything or experiment with temps. So I was thinking, if there's a flaw in the original design I should just go ahead and go with the inline thermo right? I haven't gone to find the upper rad hose yet even. Do you remember the part number or just universal?
