Yes. There is a cam wheel inside the injection pump that moves the plunger. This tool rides on the plunger and is used with a dial indicator to find the high spot on the cam, which you align with TDC.

I am curious to learn if, after you make the adjustment with your new tool, will you be able to tell any difference in engine performance, fuel mileage, or startups??
