Go get a solar set-up. 2000 bucks can get you 10 used panels with 75% life left, a charge controller and inverter and batteries. It's not going to take care of all your electrical needs, but it's better than nothing. See things like this for sale all the time. This is just an emergency set-up, no mounting rack, just lay the panels in the yard where they can get sun most of the day and wire it up. Although the batts need to be maintained with a float charge until they're needed.  i have an emergency 1kw set that tucks in neatly in the garage. enough to keep the gas wall heater controls energized, operate the microwave and coffee maker. We have a Nuwave mag and pans that work well with a small system that'll boil water well enough.

Indoor heaters are not good unless they can be exhausted outside. Don't take the chance.

CO detectors are code in Cali. These people should have one.

But consider this, if SHTF the rules governing burning fuels for heating go out the window and that wood stove that isn't approved for use in your home just got approved.  your propane equipment will only last so long, and getting a tank refill may be difficult, along with any other fuel. If you do have a solar backup there will be people out there to steal it, so you'll have to take that emergency system in at night.

Brought to you by the WBC (World Billionaire's Club) because money is a bad thing. Let us carry that burden for you.

Sure it'll fit........ Just needs a little brute finesse.

Sure I believe intelligent life exists on other planets. Other planets, not this one.
