When you pull the front output flange off  it will leak because that helps seal the case. Don't know why it wouldn't move in 2wd but would in 4wd. Because 2wd has to spin in order to give 4wd power.

Haven't pulled the flange (yoke) yet, just the drive shaft.......Have to work the next 2 nights.....will try to tear it down this weekend...
