how many ply's on side wall?
Nice... We've have seen these in action at out 4x4 trials event and they are really effective tires. They get misunderstood alot because when you air them down, you have to REALLY AIR THEM DOWN for them to act aired down. I want a set for my 4Runner project...
I think most guys misunderstand pitbulls. We have had a few wheel on our trials course and they need like 3psi to act aired down where alot of tires would be happy traction at 10-15 psi. Of course those were the bias, but I think that's why they get a bad rap. Aired way down they are awesome.
My BFG Mud KM2 tires were smooth as glass when new, but like all mud tires start to ride terribly after a few thousand miles. I'll be interested to see how yours are doing around 10k.The only set that I've been around on the trail didn't seem that impressive to me, but there are a lot more factors that just the tires that make a rig perform on the trail so I can't be sure that the tires were at fault.Aren't they a heavy tire? I chose my BFGs over Toyo's because of the weight difference.
Wow Glen that is awesome! They look great on your rig
One thing too whats your opinion on the sidewall? I had a buddy say pitbull's are extremely weak.
Well I've seen guys at our crawl competition get traction with side lugs on sharp pieces of rebar sticking out of broken sharp concrete chunks with them. I'm sure it's possible to tear the sidewalls on something given the right conditions, but from what I've seen they hold up as good as any of the competition. I don't have a set to personally abuse just yet but when I do I'll post the results...
I would like to see a pic aired down wraping around something...
