Ill secong that one!  Stay away from the small block. It makes for a seriously fun ride on the street bot offroad all you do is fix everything fromt he bellhousing back.  Been there done that, now Ive got a 22re and its staying.
Full hydro, 186:1 with an auto and 44's what could go wrong??

scheid you'd be surpised what I can make a poor little re do when its needed.  You also seem to forget that I built and drove my 84 for 6 years with a rather radical 350 in it.  Yes it was great for the power but it just broke everything.  Replacing crap is not much fun, thats whay I finally got rid of the truck.  I spent more time wrenching on it than actually driving it.  It was damned fun though.

say no to smallblocks :reg: ive had them both and the toy has never had the hood up on the trail or anywhere else. if you ever wheel with a bunch of jeeps with chevys in them 9 out of 10 will have to stop to fix something before they get to the trail. keep it toy
