Extra kids for a week
« on: Jun 26, 2015, 02:06:41 PM »
 :nerv:

So some lady from the state called and desparately needed someone safe to take care of two, well one is 10 months and the other is 2 years old, so I guess we call them babies.  They were apparently in some sort of horrible home situation and any and all foster families in the region have 4th of July plans.  She brought them right into my office at the courthouse. I guess several people recommended us as safe good people. Thaaaanks...

I found it odd they would just slap them on us without a ton of paperwork. Maybe has something to to with the fact I work for the state and they have a background check on me all ready? Weird.

Any way what could we say. So we have some babies until the 6th.  Now I really NEED the 4runner on the road. We can't just toss these two in the back of the pickup like our roughneck boys.

That's a very good thing you're doing. I'm proud to have exchanged pixels with you.

Luckily our boys are a lot older.  If we had little babies there would be no way we could pull this off.  The little 10 month old boy is pretty easy going.  The 2 year old girl has some sort of issues from being hurt by a man.  She get REALLY ticked off whenever you have to say no for any reason at all.  By Saturday though we had all found a common ground playing in the creek.  Now everybody gets along for the most part.

I got to go to work today so it's all on my wife.  I guess I'll say a prayer for her.

Oh, and I'm not that good.  We are just willing and dumb...   ;)
