1ton with leafs?
« on: Jan 15, 2015, 06:37:36 PM »
I'm putting a dana 60 under the front and 14 bolt under the rear. I'm wanting to run my allpro leaf springs with the new axles. One of my friends that has already did the 1tons under his 4Runner and he is telling me to 3 link the front. He says that he broke springs and bent a couple. I'm not wanting to have these problems. Any ideas if my allpro springs will hold up?

I will ask him tomorrow if he was running any. I Was running them with my toyota axles and was planning on using them with these too.

tons kill leafs, see it happen all the time. but if the pack is built right it will take it.

bump stops really do help!

but if u cant afford the 3 link just leaf it, all pro leafs are made strong and can take the abusive weight of the tons. RUF isnt bad either, just need to run alot more leafs to help them survive

No bump stops=broken stuff lol. I have all pro leafs under my second gen with a 44 and I have no problems, but bump stops are crucial for any circumstance. Sky manufacturing makes a nice hanger kit and I also heard there leaf springs are bad ass and I would either run there springs or all pro. like 85crawler said if you cant afford links leafs work just as good brotha.
90'4runner......lots of goodies.

Also a good traction bar can help any leaf setup from twisting and bending leafs
