gears good enough

I am running an 85 runner with a SB 350 (Carb for now) and Dana 44 with a FF 14 rear. It has 4:10s (Detroit in the rear Open front) The question is will 4:10s work (for now) How well will they work

also I am doing this on the cheap (to start) is there anyway to do the steering without putting out $400 for flat top arms? It will not be on the street on at speed anytime soon

The rear output on your transfer case will hate 4.10 and sbc

what transmission? Im not sure how a th350 would handle 4:10s and 40s.

but a manual would be fine.
