So recently rebuilt my 22re and It runs like a top. Build http://board.marlincrawler.com/index.php?topic=96772.0

Other then when I try to turn the idle down to 700 as the FSM calls for. I get this 200 rpm idle. at 850-900 idles like a champ.

Is this a problem? Any ideas on how to fix it? I have tried everything I can think of. Or am I stuck with it?

Bored .20 over.
LCE EFI pro cam. Degreed in at 101 degrees.
New head with oversized vales.
LCE Intake.
Ported Intake.
New fuel pressure regulator.
New coil.
New Wires and plugs.
Clean and matched injectors within .9% of each other.
Big Bore thorttle body.
Swapped in a different AFM.
IAC working and even blocked it off for awhile.
Smoke tested no vaccum leaks.
Replace all butt connectors in harness.
And much more. I have checked and ohmed everything.
If you see it, its for sale.

Just checking that to adjust your idle you are turning the screw on the top of the throttle body?

Come on give me a little more credit then that, yes, I know of no other way of adjusting the idle. I have also adjusted the tps sensor. I have even had a mechanic that works on Toyota's look at ut said it runs good. No stumbleing or missed coming out of itdle. No lose of power. I just have no idea.

^^ Not knowing the specs on the new cam... lift or duration but, if there is more of either that differ from the OEM specs, I don't believe it will idle as low as the original did.  Contact LC for their input.

I would set the idle where it works and call it.

Hope this helps you.

I have contacted them and they have been trying to help. They say it should idle smooth at 700. Everyone else says the lobie idle is fine. Below are the cam specs. I degrees mine at a 101 Lobe center, which LCE said shouldn't cause a problem just move the power lowe in the RPM band. I added some more igntion timing last night and it seemed to help. At like 8-9 TDC it started to really smooth out, but I'm not sure if that is to much timing or not, so I set it at like 6.

Nice specs.  With that lift & duration, I don't see how you will get it to idle @ 700 rpm's and keep from loading up.  Check the power brake booster too.  Be sure your set up makes enough vacuum to operate safely.

Sorry. Don't mean any insults. Just wanted to make sure. I thought the fuel injected 22-re's we're supposed to idle at 750? I doubt that it would make much of a difference.
