Topic: stupid ifs swap question

hi guys im having trouble with the ifs hub swap, i cant get it done, cant get the last ring on the birdfield. do i swap the chromly spindle? help please im i missing something or do i need to swap something else out to make it work, please help

ive done this swap, you either havent got the hub fully seated on the spindle or what ive done is put a bolt into the center on the axle itself( the hole is threaded) and pull on it outwards so it clears the locking hub gear inside while putting the snap ring back on.

does it matter that chromely spindles i use, if the ifs or the solid axle ones?

not sure if they make ifs chromo spindles, but if they are chromo they should be solid axle and i think TG is the only ones who make them i think.

try the bolt trick, sometimes the axle will pull out just enough to get that C clip on.

What do you mean "chrome moly spindles". IFS spindles will not work on a Toyota solid axle. Are you talking about the stub shaft on the Birfield? Are your Birfields Longs or TG. Longs are built to the same spec as stock Birfields, TG who the heck knows what spec they are built to.
