Adding disk brakes to the rear.
« on: Apr 26, 2014, 07:40:43 PM »
Planning on buying an axle from a 2000 4Runner. Do I have to use the larger break master? Is there anything else I need to watch out for?

Thanks.

Buy the 1" bore land cruiser MC.  IT bolts right up.  You can get them cheap from local parts store.

:smokin: I plan to do disc brakes in the rear, I already have the Marlin 1" bore master, but I am going with Chevy's calipers and Toyota 16" roters in the rear. I am also adding a flow valve from summit racing. I will let you know how it works.
1984 Toyota Pickup, EFI with duel cases, 5.29's in the diffs, 4" Trailer HD leafs in the front, Chevy's with 3" blocks and a track bar/pan hard bar in the rear with full exo cage.

From what I've seen, nope. I think they went to a combination disc/drum in the rear 2003

I just went full float on my tacoma with a solid axle disc, and a malibu/g6/aura rear caliper with an e brake
