That's a pretty awesome buildup, man.

Now for the bad...WHAT disk brake swap?...i'm interested but all i could find was one sentence and a single pic.
Plus a whole lotta chit-chat.

i used ruffstuff brackets with stock tacoma rotors and calipers.  you could use the stock solid axle rotors and calipers also if you had those laying around.  the caliper brakets are$50 and the proportioning valve was $30 from summit racing

What're you using for an e-brake?

line lock?
TC kit?
first gear?

hey did you HAVE to use a 1" wheel spacer to clear the caliper with your rim or did you just do that to get close to the front end width? it says you might have to use a spacer. lame ex:

I've got to ask.......

Why?

I've got an 86 (295mm diameter) and with the usual lack of weight back there, I don't see any gains with rear disks.........

im pretty damn sure those mount work for those calipers, if youve got a free hour give him a call and he'll tell you everything you need to know.  there is another company making some also that i KNOW work for those calipers but dont remember the name.  Search for muchado on pirate he did a writeup on the swap

I run that systems. PM Toywelder on PBB for the info on the brackets.  I'm very happy with my setup, stopping 38.5" SXs. I just got back from a snow run, which had us on a lot of icy blacktop to get to trails. Excellent brakes and good biasing.

Look in that pirate thread on page 4, for my setup. Note, that if you want to do things right, you need to look at your entire brake system: front to back biasing, master cyl size, booster size, etc. There are plenty of JY parts that bolt right in, so its not super costly. I probably have $200 into my entire system.
