I am working on an 86 yoter and it keeps blowing the running light fuse.  So when you go to twist the knob left of the steering wheel it clicks in the fuse box and blows the fuse,  no running lights, not even for a quick second. 

Anyone ever have this issue...

And while teching this truck there seems to be a valve tick..  Heres the sound..  Just thought you guys would know if this is a common issue and the best way to deal with it?   ie.. new head, replace valve guide, readjust the vales etc....

Helpful as ever big mike!  LOL    any ideas on where to start looking?  It happened while driving down a city street, the truck has never seen trails...  Poor thing

Ohh no... LOL this is my cousins kids ride.  Willynilly2.0 is going to finally be completed before summer and shes mean,  I got a killer deal on a 650hp stroker motor,  shes going to be able to burn those 42s....   LOL

Not too likely on this truck, but does it have trailer wiring?  Many times that's the best place to start.

After that, use a circuit breaker in place of the fuse and disconnect circuits until you find the area that's popping it. It would help to have a factory wiring diagram, but can be done without.

It would also help if he kept his nasty infected Heep hands off of the Toyota before he infects it, Spencer I hope you are wearing gloves as to protect the Toyota from your Jeep hands....its a jeep thing you understand

I will probably have to start there.  No trailer wireing..   this was his 98 year old grandmas truck until a year ago... she has had it forever to get groceries...

First thing it to check all the light sockets!  I guarantee that one of them is rusted and shorting out.   Try in the taillights first.

I had a broken wire on my 80, one of the side markers on the bed caused that to happen intermittently.
