Like most 1st gen's, I have no a/c but need it badly for summer temps.

How hard would it be to convert to a/c?

Can I even find the parts to convert to a/c?

Your best bet is to find a complete setup from a member or salvage yard. I did mine about 3 years ago, and parts were hard to find then. I believe I bought the last condenser in the U.S. from Toyota, at least thats what they told me. I used a newer compressor from a 91 22re motor and a mix of parts under the dash, had to fab ducting etc. My system doesnt work great, but it does take the edge off...

pm me if you're interest. I have near complete when I pulled mine out from ac bracket/compressor, lines, etc

Here is another way you could go if you cannot find a stock unit. Vintage air, it is the units that most street rodders use. They have compact units that are both heat and air.

I also did it in my 85' but that was 10 years ago. Just have to find the parts at a wrecking yard. Some of the parts can be purchased new from a radiator shop. try searching for the parts on www.carpart.com
