Been lurking and reading for a bit, but first time posting.
I've been researching the 2XR Hybrid with the idea of one day building one with EFI to use in my '89 2wd; can't find the answer to this question searching the forums.
I realize the major hurdle is an EFI intake manifold with all the water sensors, but my main intent at this time is to find out if the accessories (A/C, Power Steering, alternator) and brackets that are on the late 22RE will bolt up to the early 22R bottom end. It appears that most of the bolt holes on the late 22RE block exist also on the early 22R block, but I'm curious about the brackets reaching around the face of the timing cover. Can the 22RE accessory brackets fit around the early 22R timing cover?
