In the age of the intardnet I've been trying to get my club to do this type of thing like justruns is doing except remaining in Cal4Wheel, to support keeping our trails open. That means we still need to have dues, I think it very important that we as a group remain vocal and the only way to get noticed by our elected officials is to show a very large presence. The more people any association can show actively involved or not in the politics have the ears of our politicians. In starting a new club I'd go the online/virtual route with maybe a quarterly meeting at some local restaurant. Take a look at these two online clubs and get a feel for how they've set up and maybe go that route. You just need a few people that sign up for each run and it may grow into what they've done. I have a bulletin board set up and waiting for a virtual club but not everyone in my club is onboard or online. This makes me want to try again.

I just got back from Mazanita Oregon or I would have tried to make it.

that sounds cool but it's a little formal for my liking. dues and sign-up sheets for runs are little more than just hanging out with a group.
unless the dues go to the preservation of our favorite trails and logging roads that go to our favorite trails then I'd be down. they just shut down something like 300k acres of "Free" land near me so we're all pissed that they patrol it like it's a missile silo. I'd pay to get rangers off of that ;) otherwise... what are you paying for? club tshirts?
May Bobby Long be forever immortalized in his work and deeds to the Toyota 4x4 community. Because of a select few including this wonderful man, none of us have to drive Jeeps. He will be missed.

I agree that keeping our trails open is important but we don't even have any members yet. I think it is something to consider once we are more established as a club. As it is we have yet to hold our first meeting. Royota I hope you are felling better.

Agreed! I've got a buddy with a '67 Cruiser that may be interested too.

Sounds fun! I'd like to come. I'm going to the marlin crawler round-up and may have some repairs to do before taking it out again. Hopefully I don't break anything. Cause it's a long drive home.

I have the 13th, 14th and 15th off if anyone wants to try and hit up Tahuya or Olympic NF to cruise maybe look for bears lol

Nobody's posted here for a while (says the running software). I'd like to go with some fellow toyota off road guys up around Cle Elum or wherever. I've only been to Evans Creek. I want a little less bouncing all over the place and actually have some room to get out into the woods. Not so much into flattening my nutsack doing technical difficult stuff. Moderate is more my speed and energy level
