Okay thank you for reporting this. I reconfigured our store's comment module for use on our brand new photo gallery I'm building (http://www.marlincrawler.com/gallery) and for a brief moment I had comments enabled site-wide & with low spam control. It's possible there are others so I'll check it out when I get to work.

Idea Big Mike!!! On other forums I have used, they have an option to "subscribe" to a thread, without having to actually make a post in the thread to recieve updates. I think it'd be a huge hit and would eliminate a lot of nonsense posts.

We have this feature It is called "Notify". The link is to the right of the "ADD POLL" option at the top right and bottom right of each thread

Why is it that some posts you go to, will drop you to the last time you visited it, and others won't?  I like the feature that it drops you to were you last saw/posted.  But it just doesn't seem to always do it.  Is it setup for certain types of threads?

I've noticed the same thing but it is only when a thread has a bunch of images throughout it.

I think he means that sometimes when you click on a thread, it takes you to page 1 instead of the last page with the last post.

No what happens is when you have already posted on a thread and later return and click that thread to get the newest info sometimes you don't get taken to the latest post of that thread. You are instead placed somewhere in the middle once the page fully loads which then you must scroll down to the most recent posts. For myself I have noticed this occurring when a thread has a lot of images in it and figure this is the reason it happens. I have never had this issue with mostly text threads just the threads with mostly if not only images in it.

It happens to me on any thread.  There are some that takes me right to where I left off with the last time I was there.  And sometimes, I have to scroll all the way down from the top.  With or without pictures for me.  I haven't paid attention to the type of post it is.  When I get time, I'll try to figure it out.  Things are kinda fubar'd around the house here.

By default the forum takes you to the last reply you read. If many replies were posted since your last visit, then the thread will load at the last place you left off, which is above all those new replies. Perhaps you are confused with threads in which you were the last person to respond?
