But if you use compatibility view in IE9,

you don't get all the smilies and gizmos while posting a message..

The title of the posts, should be bolder.  My eyes are drawn to the date/time, and person who posted it, which is really bold, and that catches my eyes, more than the title

Maybe put the title in bold black, vs. the skinny red.

I used to use Firefox, until the sizing and scaling of the site was not working correctly and the site was severly disconfigured. I love firefox much more then IE. but iirc, firefox runs slower?

They fixed that issue, mine was like that too, a recent update addressed that issue.

IE9 warns of compatability issues, stability and the like when you download it. It also tells you it is developmental and may not work properly. Go figure, if it is still in the devlopment stage why'd they release it? Reminds me of GM and rushing things to market before they are ready letting us do the R&D for them.

Starting on this now, went to "upgrade" to IE9 and I cannot - it's not available for Windows XP. What a load of crap. I'll have to find another way to trouble shooting it. I'll keep this updated.

Don't count on any new capabilities for XP, Microsoft is ending all XP support.

Where are we going? And why are we in a handbasket?

My friend is goin to moan this weekend - RockcrawlinJK

Rocksurfer

I have Windows7, Vista and XP on several different computers/laptops, IE9 still will not load the shout box on any of these. What you need to have is IE8 on any platform and it should work again, IE9 is still a developmental project and some features don't work properly. For those that still have XP you need to go back to IE8 before it's too late.

BigMike

I am aware that in 2014 XP will become unsupported. Hopefully I'll have moved to a Linux build before then

I have IE8 on my system and the Shout Box loads fine. I still however would like to increase compatibility and extend this great feature for IE9 users. I will find a way to fix it sooner or later.

Thanks
Mike

Fixed!

Seriously though, who still uses IE? I assumed it was dead lol.
Wait... What?

Rocksurfer

Fixed what, even unsupported you can always get Chrome or Firefox. I've noticed early IE versions seem to disappear after a while leaving those that have upgraded no options to go back to except to try downloading from questionable sites at best.

Will you make it so that when you click on a thread title in unread replies it goes to the last page of the thread? This is how the old software worked. With the new software, I click on the thread title and it takes me to the first page. This is very NOT handy. Other than that, this new software is nice. I like having a working search again.
