crawler box pops out

just installed an advanced adapters crawler box. front case pops out of low range sometimes. i did have to switch shift rods and forks from 1 case to the other. any ideas?

it is hitting your cab, you need to cut the whole for the shifter larger..

otherwise, maybe the detent springs are shot? Forget the ball?

its not hitting the shifter boot holder, already checked that. ill go pull detent spring and ball right now.

Go to the PnP, buy a cheap set, bolt em on, and then tell me your answer  :ack:

I don't know anything about them, I don't run em - same with the chebs..

weell, i pulled detent spring and ball (they were both there). i did put a spare spring in that i had, but the old  1 looked fine. both springs were same length. any other possibilities?

Did you have to grind the shift rod end off when you changed rods? I get confused with what ya gotta do for different adapters etc..

Maybe it is a tad too long?

hmmm.... i see  what you mean.. that would be a hard 1 too find out if that is what was happening. even with the cases out of  truck

So.....you bought AA and go to Marlin for help??? WTF??
He does have the answer but why not pregnant dog to AA?? Marlins customers should be able to get good service from him but he is hounded by everyone cuz he is so willing to help. If you want his service, PAY for it.

Pull the detent spring back out, and stretch it a little. If this doesn't work you can take the box apart and turn the cog around if the plastic pads a worn off of your shift fork. That is if your fork had plastic on it in the begininng, not sure on that.  

Or just wait till someone calls you and gives you a truck because it has rusted in half and the landlord told them they need to get it out of the apartment parking lot. Then you will have lots of spare parts to replace the case with.
