brakes
« on: Feb 19, 2005, 12:33:25 PM »
well my passenger side caliper has a seized piston and the guy who sold me the truck included another caliper but i was wondering how much a new caliper would be. should i just get this spare one shaved for wheel clearance it looks like it's been sitting for a while so it's condtion is unknown (setup is 85 axle with ifs hubs and calipers, vented rotors)

i thought i'd ask cause brakes are a pretty important saftey device.

anyone have some mint calipers kicking around? :eyebrow:

if your not worthy of rebuilding you calipers, i would buy a new/rebuilt unit

I got rebuilt calipers fro my 91 pick up from Advance Auto.  They even had em in stock!  They were the 4 piston ones, about $50 a piece i think it was......but the core charge was like $70 a piece!
