rotating an 80 series rear axle
« on: Jan 21, 2012, 05:25:25 AM »
Im about to restart my on going project , fitting 80 series axles with lockers to a 4 runner with 4 link and 3 link suspension , and
was wondering is there a limit to how far you can rotate the rear axle before it starts to create problems , were diff oil is at the wrong
level and posiition in the diff to lubricate the gears or locker. iv seen these lads jack up trucks to stupid heights with drive lines a daft
angles but are they doing any damage   ????? many thanks.
If you have "NO FEAR" then your not doing it RIGHT !!!!

I dont know what kind of angle is destructively bad, but I'd just have to say if you keep the lift ht. usable then you're okay.
