Rotating Axle?
« on: Feb 13, 2006, 10:45:31 AM »
I had a question about rotating axles. I know that many people who run a lot of lift have problems with pinion angle, and they end up cutting the perches off, rotating the axle, and re-welding them. I was wondering how I would go about doing this. I am going to be running 7 +/- inches of lift, and I figure that this is something that might rear its head when I get the money and get in the garage. Is it just as simple as I have put it above, or is it one of those things that is easy on paper but dificult in reality? As far as I can see, there would be mush of a problem rotating the rear axle, but what about the front? Is it possible, wait, scratch that, anything is possible, but is it worth it? Thanks for answers.

There's more to it than just the perches, here's a good article about the whole

process.http://www.4x4wire.com/toyota/tech/rotated_housing/

The rear is just doing the perches.
