Truck don't look like this anymore.

Sprayed a base of white before many light coats of yellow to make it pop

depends on the paint quality IE: walmart .96 cent paint or krylon etc. The color you are covering plays a factor too.

Some good info coming out now on what you would need to do it right and how much you would have to get. I've seen those sprayers but I'm too cheap and just suffer with the thumb pain.

I was thinking of painting the original stripes that would have come on my truck but using the original Toyota racing colors going from yellow then orange to red. It's all white right now and is just Plain Jane.

here's my 88 xtracab. I decided flat black was boring so I added the red to the hood, and I took the upper dash cover and speaker grills out and painted them the same red they look SICK! and I cut the roof out and bolted/RTV sealed acrylic sheets up there. I have a black pirate flag that I made with a white/red skull and crossbones. for a $400 truck I made it look at LEAST like it's worth $800

before I mounted anything up there. you can see the dash and hood. it used to be battleship gray with cancer everywhere so I fixed all that then murdered it out with flat black and red with the offset stripe because a solid block would have annoyed me
