Must be a pre WWII unit

the JP at the beginning of the number leads me to think its an old JeepEater adapter.  they were a competitor of Marlin back in the 90's

that is a jeep eater, i heard they had to change they're name to jp eater or something like that cause chrysler got mad at them for using "jeep" in the company name. (just what i heard, might not be true)

What do you mean were,they are still being made right here in Roseville, CA.
