tacoma w59 loose shifter
« on: Jul 09, 2011, 10:55:34 AM »
the shifter in my little 5 lug tacoma is all over the place. when i say all over the place i mean 50% of the time i cant get it into reverse and it never feels like its completely engaged into any gear. could this be the shifter ball seat? when i removed the shifter i found some what seemed to be small broken plastic pieces around the seat area.

You asked and answered your own question, yes it is the ball seat.

Marlin carries them.

Cool, thanks. I'm gonna head down tomorrow and grab the parts. I love living 15 minutes away from them.
