Updating for my sanity

To Do List:
Finish welding front diff plug shut
Fill all Fluids
Tighten Driveshaft bolts
Torque 3rd member nuts
Test Drive through town
Pay neighbor kid to clean inside and out
Load tools/parts
Air up Trailer Tires
Load on Trailer
Fill water can with water
Fill Gas can with new gas
Aquire 6 pack of Bass
Fill radiator (close petcock first!) (Parked it uphill, filled with 1 gallon of AF rest water, started, filled more while running)
Torque Everything (steering arms & u-bolts were loose)
Air up tires to 5lbs (put 25 in em so I can drive it on the street first)
Fix winch power cable (quick fix for now, need to buy connectors)
Install Battery (finally bought the right size!)
Replace water pump (torqued to 9ftlbs and used ultra grey + paper gasket as per mfg directions)

:thumbs: good job Mini!

I can tell you were extremely careful to scrape off the bare minimum amount of caked on mud and grime when you installed the new water pump.  That ensures that there's plenty of mud and grime left to hold together the organ, as well as to integrate the new "organ" onto the engine, with little likelyhood of "rejection."

mini, what is the "thicker leaf" for your bottom leaf (5th?) in the RUF? AAL?

Came with the stock pack on the truck. Nothing special.

hmmm doesnt look like an overload though...
I'll be doing the RUF with a pack from an 88 4runner. I'm thinking--> 88 main, 88 2nd, 88 3rd, 84 main cut down, then??? AAL or 84 2nd cut down... and cut the :pokinit: out of the fenders for some 35's (thats as big as you need on the right coast to do most anything)

Just make sure the leaves are staggered evenly.
I would skip the AAL unless you want to be 10' in the air.

Yes, want to stay low. When you say staggered enenly you mean, cut down to correct lengths matching the leaves above? (first build)

Yes, each of my leaves is 6" shorter in overall length than the leaf above it. (3" each side)
1 - 48"
2 - 48" (wrapped leaf)
3 - 42"
4 - 36"
5 - 30"

Those are estimates, but should be pretty close to reality.

Hammer a socket, or weld something to rear diff fill plug to loosen
Fill rear diff
Fill cases/trans
Fill engine oil
Finish welding front diff plug shut
Fill front diff
Test Drive through town
Replace windshield washer fluid resevoir cap
Replace windshield wipers
Pay neighbor kid to clean inside and out
Load tools/parts
Air up Trailer Tires
Load on Trailer
Fill water can with water
Fill Gas can with new gas
Aquire 6 pack of Bass

Completed
Torque 3rd member nuts (spec is 19ftlbs, torqued to 240inlbs, all were loose front and rear)
Tighten Driveshaft bolts (rusted tight)
Fill radiator (close petcock first!) (Parked it uphill, filled with 1 gallon of AF rest water, started, filled more while running)
Torque Everything (steering arms & u-bolts were loose)
Air up tires to 5lbs (put 25 in em so I can drive it on the street first)
Fix winch power cable (quick fix for now, need to buy connectors)
