IFS is best kept at ambient temperature in a pile of scrap in the backyard.  When kept under a functioning vehicle, it tends to greatly diminish said vehicle's offroad ability.     -reklund5

Do the cut up overload springs reduce axle wrap or do they just ask as a small lift block?
If you still have control you aren't going fast enough

If I try hard enough, maybe, but I doubt it.

It reduces axle wrap, they are cut so you don't have a 4' leaf hanging in front of your tire. It explains it more in the Chevy Spring Swap FAQ on Pirate 4x4

How strong are the pivot blocks?  I know BigMike ran them and his broke, but they didn't look as strong as yours.  How do they drive on the street?

MiniSimp

These are the new beefier set.

The first set the BigMike and I ran were thinner tubing. He broke his on Soupcan, and I broke mine before Big Sluice. :shake:

The new set should hold up fine, Mike has been running the new ones for a couple of months now.

The problem for me with the prototype pivot blocks was that I did not have any bump stops and every time I bottomed out it would crush the tube making it weaker. :heavy: I'm not sure why Mike's ripped, but I'm sure he can fill you in on that. :dunno:

Only testing will prove it though, and again, I'll post up if I break them!

They run fine on the street/freeway up to 75 mph in my personal experiance. However, they are designed for offroad only, go on the street at your own risk. :gap:

Hottrod81

Good work.  They are a neat design.
