Anyone into old dirt bikes or motorcycles? I picked up a yamaha dt 100 enduro the other night for free. I'm not positive on the year but I believe it is a 79.

My uncle has a 1975 Bultaco Identical to this one.   He is the original owner.

Thats a nice bike. I would have liked to get something with a bigger engine but for the price of free i can't complain. I found a tag on the bike and it is a 78. I started tearing into the engine and everything needs some attention but it is all there and the motor should run without to much work, gonna need a new carb though because the slide is stuck in the carb :smack:

Is that a 250 Alpina or is that the Matador?

I had a 76 Alpina. Great bike...lots of character.

Not sure.  I just remember watching my dad and a few of my uncles ride when I was a little kid.  The one with the Bultaco is the only one who still has a bike and I see it in the garage every now and then when I stop by his place.  My dad rode a Honda dirt bike and it was all red but I can't remember much more about it.

I have, well it's stored at Stocker's, a 1978 honda xr75.  It was the first bike my brother and I had.  We split the cost of the bike and learned to ride on it, then I eventually bought him out and rode it off and on to break up the monotony of riding my cr80.  I don't have any pics of it really, but it's in pretty good shape (surprising for how I flogged it :_oops: ) and ran like you'd expect a honda to run.

If you remember next time you speak to him, would you ask what it is. Just interested.

Here is what I learned to ride on.   It's a 1979 Kawasaki KX80.  I think my cousin still has it.

I cuttently have a pair of 1970 ct70's, One stocker I restored as a kid and one thats a restomod. Has a 13hp 125cc 4spd motor in it, the thing will hold a 3rd gear wheelie. I dust em off and take em around the block every year or so, but when I was a kid I put 6000 miles on the stocker in 1 summer at my grandparents cabin. I love those little bikes, I buy em anytime I see em for a good price.

I learned how to ride on a 74 kawasaki KE100, then had a 74 suzuki TS185. Im lookin for a SL175 or an old elsinore to restore in the future. Vintage motocross bikes will be big money some day
this my man lysol, fresh out the joint
